The Oklahoman’s Newspapers in Education partnered with Oklahoma City’s Lyric Theatre to create an educational program showcasing Oklahoma’s musical and historical past. The Oklahoma! Interactive program included a student supplement, in-paper lessons and activities and a live performance at participating schools. This program made history come alive for educators and students alike by illustrating via the printed materials and interactive performances what life was like during the journey toward statehood. Oklahoma! Interactive received rave reviews for both its content and design, and still remains one of The Oklahoman’s most popular NIE programs.
